Central Power
The Central powers of World War I included Austria-Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire. World War I started after the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was assassinated by the Black Hand, a group from Serbia. War was waged, and alliances pulled countries into the war. The war lasted from July 28, 1914 through November 11,1918 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed. Germany had the most casualty in World War I. Germany lost over 2 million troops throughout the war because of heavy artillery. After the Central defeat in 1918, Austria and Hungary were separated into two different countries, Germany was harshly punished, and the Allies created the League of Nations, not allowing Germany to join for years as punishment.
